Missouri's first legislators met in this building, the First Missouri Capitol. They reorganized Missouri's territorial government into a state system. From June 4, 1821 to October 1, 1826, many heated debates about state's rights and slavery filled the rooms of this temporary Capitol. Below, is a picture of the governor's office:

After our journey to the State Capitol, we headed to the Lewis and Clark Boat House where we saw a Power Point about Lewis and Clark and viewed the museum.
Here is a picture of part of our class. The other group was with Mrs. Noble's class. We missed them!
What a great trip! I didn't even know about the place until the permission slip came home.
